About Boulder

Boulder Care is an award-winning digital clinic for addiction medicine, recognized for both innovation and high quality of patient care. Founded in 2017 by CEO Stephanie Strong, our mission is to improve the lives of people with substance use disorders through compassionate, evidence-based care.

We provide Boulder patients with a fully virtual, multidisciplinary care team—including medical providers and peer recovery specialists—who deliver personalized treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and ongoing support. Our approach is grounded in clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and a commitment to reducing barriers to recovery. Boulder partners with leading health plans, employers, and community organizations to ensure that our services are accessible and covered for the people who need them most.

Named by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Healthcare, Boulder fosters a culture of kindness, respect, and meaningful work that delivers outstanding patient outcomes and moves the addiction medicine industry forward.

About this role

As the Director of Growth Marketing, you will lead our multi-channel strategy for patient acquisition and partner engagement. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of campaigns that bring new patients into our care, while also driving awareness and collaboration among payers, partners, and communities.

In addition, as our growth marketing function expands, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the team — defining the structure, hiring, and developing talent across enrollment, social, and digital marketing roles. You’ll also work cross-functionally with our Creative, Product, Data, and Clinical teams to deliver measurable, sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Head of Growth, this is a role for a strategic and analytical builder who thrives in a high-growth environment, balances creativity with performance rigor, and uses insights to drive continual improvement.

What you'll do:

Growth Strategy & Leadership – 40%

  • Develop and lead Boulder’s comprehensive growth strategy across digital, community, and partner channels
  • Oversee campaign planning and execution for both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and B2B (payer) audiences
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team to drive acquisition goals
  • Partner with Product, Clinical, and Creative teams to align on patient growth priorities

Acquisition & Optimization – 40%

  • Build and scale digital acquisition campaigns that optimize for CAC, ROAS, and patient conversion
  • Analyze funnel performance, test creative and messaging variations, and refine strategies based on results
  • Oversee reporting frameworks and dashboards that guide investment decisions

Brand & Community Marketing – 20%

  • Drive community and partner event strategies to build trust and awareness among target populations
  • Develop organic and social content strategies in partnership with Communications and Creative teams
  • Ensure all campaigns reflect Boulder’s mission and values while achieving performance outcomes

What you bring:

  • Minimum 6 years in growth, performance, or digital marketing roles
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing marketing teams
  • Successful track record driving customer or patient acquisition at scale in high-growth environments
  • Expertise in paid media strategy, lifecycle marketing, and attribution modeling
  • Data fluency with analytics, data visualization and CRM platforms like Google Analytics, Looker, and Salesforce
