What You’ll Do:

BRUNT is seeking a customer-obsessed Full Stack Engineer who will hit the ground running early in the role. As BRUNT grows, so have our needs to connect systems and ensure data flows properly from one to another. This role will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of front and back-end software applications across our DTC, B2B, and enterprise systems. Your responsibilities will extend from designing system architecture to high-level programming, performance testing, and systems integration.

How You’ll Do It:

Full-Stack Development:

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
  • Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
  • Support the BRUNT DTC and B2B digital products with frontend updates leveraging JavaScript, CLI, CSS, etc.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Develop new user-facing features with a focus on responsive design.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design

Enterprise Systems Support:

  • Provide technical and coding support for building integrations between Site and Enterprise applications, via REST APIs or similar tools.
  • Assist in the development and execution of maintenance and improvement plans for integrations and applications within the Enterprise and Site environments.
  • Collaborate with enterprise systems and digital product on maintaining a Best Practice security environment throughout the tech stack.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to balance aesthetic choices with technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with product management and UX design on requirements, feasibility, and roadmap planning.
  • Work closely with QA to test and validate what you’ve built working closely alongside stakeholders.
  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years experience in engineering with experience building APIs and connecting complex systems together.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; ability to think holistically from an omnichannel perspective.
  • Experience in building functional and effective platforms and web applications.
  • Shopify development experience required—bonus if you’ve developed for Shopify using CLI.
  • Fluent in Ruby & JavaScript. Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
  • Fluent in front-end languages including HTML5, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Proficient with building applications using NodeJS.
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
  • Experience in designing, integrating, and maintaining REST APIs/GraphQL.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining unit tests and end-to-end tests.
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).
  • Knowledge of SEO and ADA principles/best practices.
