• Responsible for the implementation of directed quality efforts in the plant
• Manages, follows and monitors GMP, HACCP, IIPP, Food Safety and SOPs guidelines
• Audits and maintains production logs and other paperwork as needed for proper documentation
• Authorized to approve HACCP documentation and perform internal audits
• Manages all lab personnel via direct reporting structure
• Manages all shift personnel via a dotted-line reporting structure
• Works with management to discuss, diagnose problems and improve quality and efficiency
• Communicates plant issue’s and operations with management
• Responsible for upholding food safety standards in the plant including being HACCP certified
• Assists in providing safe working conditions for all employees
• Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with all employees and management
• Works with production department to improve quality of product
• Monitors and maintains inventory and reorders if items need to be reordered
• Optimizes plant efficiency and coordinates plant needs accordingly
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing
• Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must, some Spanish a plus
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Must possess good mechanical, communication and people skills
• Must be able to follow and communicate directions
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure and compute rate, ratio and percentage
• Proficient in Microsoft programs

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 – $90,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.
