United States – Apply Now

As a Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA) Manager supporting our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) segment, you will lead a team of DSAs responsible for accelerating production-grade Data and AI workloads across some of the most regulated, mission-critical environments in the world. Your organization will be the technical engine behind how payers, providers, med-tech, and biopharma customers modernize clinical intelligence, streamline R&D operations, and operationalize secure AI at scale on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

You will define strategy, set the execution rhythm, and coach a team capable of navigating long implementation cycles, strict compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder enterprise programs—all while ensuring customers achieve clear, measurable outcomes. You will report to the Director of Delivery Solutions Architecture for the HLS Business Unit.

The Impact You Will Have:

Build and Lead a High-Performing HLS Delivery Team

Hire, develop, and inspire DSAs who can navigate clinical, scientific, and operational workloads. Establish a performance culture grounded in accuracy, velocity, and architectural excellence.

Accelerate Production in Highly Regulated Environments

Guide your team to minimize onboarding friction, remove blockers, and bring critical HLS use cases—clinical analytics, real-world evidence, supply-chain intelligence, quality systems, AI/ML—into production quickly and safely.

Drive Compliance-Aware Technical Excellence

Ensure your team maintains deep expertise in the Data Intelligence Platform alongside core HLS requirements such as PHI-compliant architectures, HIPAA/GxP controls, auditability, lineage, and secure ML/AI operations.

Partner for Growth With Sales and Field Teams

Collaborate tightly with Sales, SAs, Support, Emerging Technologies, and Professional Services to drive adoption, increase MAU/WAU, enable mature operational patterns, and ensure customers realize tangible business value from Databricks.

Operationalize Rigor at Scale

Establish forecasting mechanisms, production readiness criteria, customer health indicators, and consumption execution frameworks that ensure predictable, multi-account delivery across HLS programs.

Be the Executive-Facing Technical Sponsor

Engage with IT, security, clinical, R&D, and data executives to shape modernization roadmaps, influence architectural direction, mitigate risk, and sponsor the strategic value of Lakehouse and GenAI across the HLS ecosystem.

Strengthen and Evolve the DSA Practice

Contribute to cross-BU initiatives that enhance delivery quality, reproducibility, and reuse—including patterns, accelerators, reference architectures, and playbooks tailored for healthcare, biopharma, and payer/provider operations.

What We Look For:

  • 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Architecture, Field Engineering, Consulting), with 3+ years leading or managing technical teams.

  • Demonstrated success enabling production workloads in regulated industries, ideally with HLS, life sciences, or similar GxP/HIPAA-bound environments.

  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native Lakehouse architectures, data governance, secure ML operations, and enterprise migration/modernization patterns.

  • Hands-on, executive-credible expertise in SQL, Python/Scala, distributed data systems, code reviews, and solution architecture.

  • Strong track record guiding customers through ETL modernization, analytics, real-time/streaming, and AI/ML productionization.

  • Experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IAM, network security, compliance controls, and data perimeter models.

  • Proven ability to manage escalations, forecast usage growth, operationalize delivery frameworks, and guide cross-functional teams.

  • Strong executive presence—trusted advisor to CIOs, CISOs, Chief Data Officers, Clinical/R&D executives, and enterprise technical leaders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
