Senior Payroll Manager, America, Canada & APAC
Dataiku is looking for a driven Senior Payroll Manager with experience working in a fast-paced target driven environment. In this role, you will lead our payroll functions for the Americas (with multi state payroll) & APAC regions . You’ll work to ensure our payroll expenses and taxes are paid correctly and on time. The position will work cross functionally with the People, Total Rewards, and Finance teams. A focus on regulatory compliance and building strong internal controls is critical. This position has two direct reports and will report directly to the Sr. Director of Accounting.
In this role, you'll help the team:
- Manage full-cycle processing of US and Canada payroll on a semi-monthly basis for 400+ employees
- Identify recommendations to scale processes to enhance payroll operational efficiency including the design and implementation of internal controls and maintaining payroll policies and procedures
- Update payroll tax, earnings & deductions in Workday as needed
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes and other deductions
- Review and approve payroll reports for Finance
- Manage tax and benefit compliance and reporting with all Federal, State, and Local payroll compliance requirements
- Manage the annual auditing of payroll records to outside auditors
- Be the point of contact, subject matter expert for all payroll related issues to employees in the US and Canada
- Manage the Workers Comp audits
You might be a good fit if you have:
- A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on relevant experience in the payroll processing in the US and Canada with at least 10 multi-state payrolls
- Ability to work well independently and as a team member in a time sensitive environment
- Great ethics and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive data
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills required (pivot tables, vlook-ups, and compound formulas); experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance (strongly preferred)
- Strong communication skills (Verbal and written)
- The ability to work towards deadlines and in a fast paced environment
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work on different systems such as Macbook and PC and Cloud
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training. Eligible roles may also be entitled to receive commission or other variable compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program.
