The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the licensing program for Equip clinicians (i.e. MD, NP, RD, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC). With an eye for organization and detail, the Credentialing Specialist will develop, implement, and monitor Equip’s credentialing program.
The Credentialing Specialist will have experience in healthcare credentialing, delegated credentialing, and healthcare administration. Above all, the Credentialing Specialist is motivated by the ultimate goal of expanding access to high quality, evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to credentialing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure credentialing files are updated and meet regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to payor rosters.
  • Partner with the Credentialing Manager to prepare for delegated credentialing surveys, audits, and quality assessments.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency on the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of healthcare experience working for a payor, health system or ambulatory care setting in credentialing or enrollment.
  • Understanding of delegated credentialing requirements and regulatory requirements for payor credentialing, including requirements for maintaining credentialing files for varying provider specialties.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn healthcare rules and regulations and apply them to situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to consistently follow processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of meeting assigned deadlines and goals.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to think critically to quickly and accurately work through challenges in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
