Equip Health is seeking a motivated and creative Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Patient Acquisition team. As a BDR, you will play a critical role in discovering and building out relationships with providers with the goal of acquiring patient referrals to Equip. This position offers a unique opportunity for autonomy and influence in a mission-driven, fast-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies in collaboration with regional Clinical Partnerships Reps to establish provider relationships and acquire patient referrals.
  • Prospect various types of provider organizations using a mix of email, phone calls, and innovative sales channels.
  • Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities based on Equip qualification criteria.
  • Manage the initial stages of the acquisition/sales cycle, conducting effective discovery calls with potential referring providers.
  • Promote networking events and identify potential referring providers to participate.
  • Provide thorough lead distribution and discovery to assigned representatives, ensuring accurate pipeline growth.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the BDR team by creating outreach content and inbound lead processes.
  • Stay informed about the eating disorder and behavioral health treatment landscape to enhance thought leadership and brand awareness, through platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Continuously seek feedback to improve outreach strategies and tactics while demonstrating persistence in reaching decision-makers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Entry-level position, with preference for candidates with 1+ years experience in a similar sales/success role. Strong preference for experience within a healthcare organization and/or a passion for the healthcare industry.
  • A creative approach to prospecting using traditional methods (email, cold calling) alongside new technologies, and an ability to research prospects and determine their unique needs in order to discover alignment opportunities for the potential referral relationship.
  • Highly coachable; strong commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Data-driven mindset focused on measuring and enhancing outreach effectiveness, and belief in process-driven success.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Not only is skilled in but enjoys building relationships and networking with others. Approaches relationships with authenticity and humility.
  • Resilient: Able to handle challenges, adapt, and remain solution oriented despite roadblocks/rejection.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully-remote work environment and manage multiple ongoing campaigns efficiently.
  • Ability and willingness for limited travel (less than 5%), especially to team training and conferences.
  • Access to consistent, high-quality internet, and a suitable work environment for extensive phone work.
Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
