About the role

The Senior AI Engineer is responsible for leading the strategic implementation of AI technologies across business operations to drive automation and increase employee productivity. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver high-impact, secure, and scalable AI solutions that streamline manual workflows. The Senior AI Engineer also establishes AI governance frameworks, prototypes and iterates on new ideas, and implements robust technical safeguards. In addition, this role plays a key part in change management efforts to support company-wide adoption of AI tools and best practices. Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, end-to-end execution capability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute on high-ROI opportunities for AI-driven process optimization.

  • Rapidly prototype, iterate on, and deploy internal AI tools and systems that enhance employee productivity.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed AI systems, continuously improving reliability, scalability, and impact.

  • Define and implement AI governance frameworks to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, ethical standards, and internal security protocols.

  • Develop and lead change management strategies to drive adoption of AI solutions across teams.

  • Build and share internal expertise through documentation, tooling standards, and knowledge transfer.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering or digital transformation, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML or automation implementation.

  • Proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern AI/ML frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience in full-stack development and deploying secure, scalable AI systems.

  • Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience with data pipeline development and integration into enterprise systems.

  • Understanding of business process optimization and organizational change management.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with optional travel for onsite meetings. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
