About the role
The Senior Manager, Payor Partnerships is a strategic leader and responsible for driving the growth and success of Equip’s most critical health plan relationships. Reporting to the Director of Payor Partnerships, you will directly manage a high-impact book of business while leading and developing a team Payor Partnership Managers. You are a trusted advisor to health plan executives and a mentor to your team, bridging the gap between high-level contract strategy and day-to-day operational excellence. This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare leader who thrives on hitting individual growth milestones while simultaneously elevating the performance of a high-functioning team.
Responsibilities
Be accountable for long term strategy, relationships, and growth of a dedicated book of key health plan partners.
Lead, mentor, and advocate for a team of Payor Partnership Managers, ensuring they have the tools, training, and strategic guidance to exceed their individual goals.
Own contract strategy & renewals to optimize partnership structure and success.
Serve as intermediary to fairly represent health plan interests and needs to Equip business (product feedback, operational design/support, member support, clinical care).
Accountable for health plan satisfaction, deepening relationships, and & identifying expansion opportunities to new markets, states, and lines of business.
Produce and deliver high quality, actionable client meeting agendas, presentations and report content, leveraging data and insights to frame comprehensive Equip value proposition.
Ensure our health plan partners are well positioned for program success by executing a best in class implementation and account management strategy that achieves key program milestones and exceeds expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in roles of Account/Client Management, Customer Success, and/or Business Development within the Healthcare industry. Strong preference for Behavioral Health experience in working with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
2+ years of people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching team members to hit performance targets.
Proven record of growing a book of business sustainably and consistently.
Experience owning and managing multiple concurrent relationships with a diverse client base while navigating through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills, adept at building strong working relationships, understanding roles and responsibilities within complex organizations, and representing the needs of both the Equip team and Payor-Client.
Key analytical abilities to generate program KPIs and insights both for internal and external stakeholders with an eye towards operational excellence and superior value delivery.
Strong understanding of the health care landscape, specifically payer and provider focused.

Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
