Marketing Operations Manager
GlobalWebIndex
We’re looking for a marketing operations manager to join us here at GWI. Not just any marketing operations manager though. Someone ambitious and genuine, who works best in the midst of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. That’s because as a GWIer you’ll be immersed in the fast-moving world of data tech. We think big to make an impact, we’re not afraid to ask why, and we always show respect. Those values are what got us where we are today, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.
About the job
The Marketing Operations team is now on a mission to optimise the lead process here at GWI. We will ensure the process is flowing smoothly, constantly monitor all the important metrics then look for improvements. We then want to use the data we collect to empower the other marketing teams to make the best, most informed, data-driven decisions they possibly can when they need to.
We are hiring an enthusiastic, data-driven Marketing Operations Manager with experience with Hubspot to be an integral part of this team.
This role will have day-to-day ownership of the Hubspot automation platform and responsibility for all leads that flow through it. They must be tagged and tracked correctly and then routed through to the correct salespeople.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitoring lead funnel process
- Monitoring lead routing process
- Monitoring data hygiene and data segmentation
- Ensure accurate tracking of all leads from creation through to close to enable accurate ROI
About you
First things first, as a disruptor in the global market research industry, we haven’t come this far without an entrepreneurial spirit and a get-up-and-go attitude. So if you think we’ll see that in you, then you’re already halfway there. Here’s the rest of what we’d like you to bring to the table.
Technical
- Experience with Hubspot is essential
- Knowledge of salesforce is preferred
- Knowledge of LeanData or other lead routing tools is preferred
- Workflow and process documentation
- Experience with other MarTech tools would be beneficial
Competencies
This is a scale-up and we are growing fast so first and foremost you have to be willing to learn and get stuck in. Things can move quickly around here so we need someone who can work in a busy environment and manage a number of, some competing, priorities and projects. At the same time, we are really trying to focus on doing the right things as often and effectively as possible at this stage in our journey so you need to be someone who is detail-oriented and a finisher. You need to be happy following a process but also constantly looking at that same process for possible holes or improvements. If you see one you need to be comfortable sticking your hand up and saying something about it.
Be curious.
You will be comfortable with numbers and looking at reports. You will need to understand how they impact the business and its processes and then also be able to explain that to other people.
You will need to be an excellent communicator who is not only happy to work with other teams and functions but actively seeks them out.
In addition, you are:
- Numerically competent
- Data-driven
- Organised
- Able to manage competing deadlines
- Use data to identify issues and drive improvements
- Self-driven and constantly striving to improve data
- Understanding of the lead funnel and associated metrics
- Experience working in B2B Tech/SaaS or Scale Up would be beneficial.
Our benefits
Great benefits make a big difference. Not just to employees, but to the whole vibe of a business. That’s why when you work for us, you’ll enjoy a full spectrum of generous perks, rewards, and office benefits.
- Competitive salary and discretionary bonus

Who we are
GWI was founded with the knowledge that understanding your audience is really important for business. When you know who you’re speaking to and why, you can create content and campaigns that stand out to the people that matter.
Through our global online survey, we gather data on the behaviour and perceptions of consumers across the world. This provides businesses with deep, actionable insights on their audience, revealed from data they trust.
It’s been going well, too. Since launching in 2009, we’ve become one of the UK’s fastest growing target audience companies. We’re not about to stop growing any time soon. As a business, we’re on a mission to re-engineer data-driven marketing, and we’re on the lookout for talented people to join us.
Diversity & Inclusion
Imagine if our data came from just one kind of person. We’d get a very nuanced view of the world. And we definitely wouldn’t have got off the ground as a business.
Although things certainly aren’t perfect, we live in a society where differences are increasingly celebrated – so we’d expect nothing else from our teams. In fact, the GWI office is as diverse as our global data, it’s really important to us that it stays that way. This is a place to feel at home, express yourself freely and make your mark.
