ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Digital Merchandising Manager to join the KHAITE team. This role will report to the Director of Digital and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This role is responsible for driving the commercial performance and on-site storytelling of the brand's digital flagship.

Sitting at the intersection of ecommerce, merchandising, marketing, and analytics, the role shapes how products are prioritized, presented, and optimized across the site. Using performance data, customer behavior, and inventory insights, the Digital Merchandising Manager translates merchandising strategy into clear on-site direction that improves conversion, sell-through, and customer understanding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

On-Site Merchandising & Product Storytelling

  • Own the site’s merchandising and storytelling approach across homepage, collections, PLPs, PDPs, and key landing pages, setting priorities based on seasonal launches and core business objectives.
  • Execute hands-on daily merchandising of collection and category pages within Shopify, using trends, sell-through, and inventory insights to guide updates.
  • Define strategies and priorities for PDP clarity and product education, ensuring product descriptions, fit guidance, and storytelling support design intent and customer confidence.
  • Maintain the site content calendar and creative briefs for seasonal launches and editorial moments; recommend and execute seasonal edits and specialty pages based on collection and category priorities.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Merchandising to identify ecommerce PDP imagery gaps, defining when reshoots or retouches are warranted to ensure products are accurately and effectively represented on site.

Commercial Performance & Inventory Strategy

  • Own core ecommerce KPIs related to on-site conversion, AOV, sell-through, and product performance, with accountability for translating results into action.
  • Monitor inventory flow, availability, and back-in-stock status to identify selling opportunities and risks, partnering with Digital Marketing to inform email, SMS, and paid activation priorities.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to understand traffic sources and identify landing page opportunities based on performance, ensuring on-site merchandising and experiences align with customer expectations by message and channel.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance readouts with clear recommendations and prioritized next steps.
  • Provide seasonal digital performance recaps to inform future buys, launches, and merchandising strategy.

Insights, Testing, & Continuous Optimization

  • Analyze customer behavior across channels, devices, and stages of the customer journey to inform digital merchandising, storytelling, and marketing decisions.
  • Define A/B testing recommendations across digital merchandising, navigation, and PDP enhancements, grounded in performance data and customer behavior.
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate test results, translating learnings into clear merchandising and site improvement recommendations.
  • Provide data-led inputs to the site roadmap, focused on improving conversion, AOV, sell-through, and return rate while balancing customer experience and brand considerations.
  • Stay abreast of luxury ecommerce best practices, using insights to inform recommendations around collection page structure, navigation, search, product visibility, and on-site storytelling.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear, intentional on-site storytelling aligned to seasonal launches and category priorities.
  • Consistent, compelling product storytelling across PDPs, collections, and category pages.
  • Improved conversion, sell-through, and customer confidence driven by clearer merchandising, fit guidance, and product education.
  • Strong cross-functional alignment on product and merchandising opportunities tied to inventory and performance insights.
  • On-site decisions that are proactive, performance-led, and closely aligned with inventory position and marketing moments.

  • Highly analytical, with experience using data, testing insights, and past performance to inform decision-making and continuous optimization.
  • Comfortable operating in cross-functional environments, balancing input from Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Ecommerce to drive clear outcomes.
