Description

The GMIT role is designed to prepare candidates for full General Manager responsibilities. This position involves hands-on leadership, operational management, and team development while ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient business operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management – Oversee daily store operations, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Team Leadership & Training – Mentor employees, conduct training sessions, and foster a positive work culture.
  • Customer Service & Brand Standards – Ensure excellent guest experiences and maintain brand expectations.
  • Administrative Duties – Process payroll, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with store policies.
  • Supply Chain Oversight – Support inventory tracking, vendor management, and ordering processes.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with local promotions, social media efforts, and partnership events.
  • Address employee concerns, manage customer issues, and provide solutions.
  • Uphold cleanliness, food safety regulations, and workplace safety standards.
  • Identify areas for efficiency and suggest operational enhancements.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires a combination of physical tasks to perform duties effectively, including:

  • Standing & Walking (50%) – On feet for extended periods during shifts.
  • Lifting & Carrying (20%) – Regularly lifting items up to 25 lbs, including inventory and supplies.
  • Bending & Reaching (15%) – Stocking shelves, cleaning areas, and accessing low/high storage spaces.
  • Manual Dexterity (10%) – Operating coffee machines, registers, and preparing food/beverages.
  • Exposure to Heat & Noise (5%) – Working near ovens, espresso machines, and in a bustling environment.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or retail management preferred.
