Position: Senior Product Designer - Dashboard and Internal Tools
Focus: B2B Platform & Enterprise Dashboard Design
Lithic is a modern card issuing and payment processing platform powering some of the most innovative companies in fintech. We provide the infrastructure that enables businesses like Mercury, Novo, and AvidXChange to launch and scale card programs with unprecedented flexibility and control.
As a Senior Product Designer on the web team, you'll be the design lead for Lithic's primary user interface—a front end experience of Lithic’s APIs as a toolset that business customers and internal stakeholders can use to issue cards, monitor fraud, manage disputes, analyze performance, and operate payment programs end to end in real-time. You'll work at the intersection of complex financial operations and elegant user experience, turning intricate payment workflows into intuitive, powerful tools that users trust and rely on daily.
This is a strategic role. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to shape product direction, define user experiences, and establish design standards that scale across our growing platform. Your work will directly impact how businesses manage billions of dollars in payment volume on their card programs.
What You'll Do
Own the dashboard experience end-to-end
- Design and refine experiences across transaction monitoring, card management, dispute management, customer support, onboarding, reporting & analytics, and financial operations
- Transform complex payment workflows and financial data into clear, actionable interfaces that serve both technical and non-technical users
- Create intuitive experiences that balance power and flexibility with ease of use—designing for for both enterprise customers and established startups scaling quickly
Drive product strategy through design
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads as a strategic voice in roadmap planning and feature prioritization
- Develop compelling product visions backed by user research, data, and business context
- Identify opportunities to improve user workflows, reduce operational friction, and increase dashboard adoption
- Connect business objectives to customer-centered design opportunities
Deliver production-ready designs with exceptional craft
- Produce high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and specifications that align with our design system and technical constraints
- Work closely with engineers during implementation to ensure clear execution and thoughtful interactions
- Maintain design quality throughout the product lifecycle—from concept to shipped feature to ongoing refinement
Contribute to design systems and standards
- Extend and evolve our design system to meet the needs of complex B2B workflows
- Create reusable patterns and components that accelerate delivery across teams
- Document design decisions and maintain clear specifications for cross-functional partners
Collaborate across disciplines
- Work with our existing and signed customer programs to validate assumptions, test designs, and gather customer insights
- Partner with Lithic’s internal teams (Operations, Finance, Risk/Compliance, Partnerships, Solutions Engineering and Implementation) to understand internal workflows and pain points
- Present work regularly to leadership and incorporate feedback to refine solutions
- Contribute to a culture of critique, feedback, and continuous improvement within the design team
Champion the user
- Develop deep understanding of business customers' needs—from platform developers integrating our APIs to operations teams managing card programs to executives analyzing performance
- Conduct user research, participate in customer calls, and synthesize insights to inform design decisions
- Balance competing priorities between different user segments and stakeholder groups
Qualifications
Must Have
- 5+ years of product design experience at a technology company, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work
- B2B or SaaS product experience, preferably in fintech, developer tools, data products, or complex enterprise software
- Systems thinking: Ability to design scalable solutions that work across multiple user types, use cases, and product areas
- Interaction design expertise: Strong command of user flows, information architecture, and designing for complex workflows
- Visual design craft: Keen eye for detail, skilled in typography, layout, color, and creating polished, professional interfaces
- Design tools proficiency: Expert with Figma or similar tools; comfortable with prototyping tools and techniques
- Communication skills: Articulate design rationale clearly to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
- Collaboration mindset: Track record of successful partnership with product managers and engineers in an agile environment
- User-centered approach: Experience conducting user research, incorporating feedback, and iterating based on data and insights
Nice to Have
- Experience designing dashboards, analytics tools, or data-heavy interfaces
- Background in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services
- Experience working with agentic workflows and how they can reduce operational overhead
- Familiarity with design systems and component library development
- Understanding of API-first products and developer experience
- Experience working with cross-functional or distributed teams
- Front-end development skills or technical understanding of web technologies
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Experience with both internal tools and customer-facing products
Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000, dependent on experience + Equity
