The Athlete Partnerships Manager will help drive On's athlete strategy in North America, with a focus on NIL athletes and youth sport engagement in Run. Collaborating closely with the global athlete team and marketing, this role will identify, sign, and manage NIL athletes, while driving initiatives to connect with competitive track and field youth and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within the high school and college coaching landscape, a passion for competitive running, and a proven ability to drive strategic partnerships.
Your mission
- Identify, recruit, and manage NIL athletes in North America, aligning with global athlete strategy
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with high school and college coaches, athletes, and athlete representatives
- Collaborate with the Athlete Project Manager to integrate NIL athletes into marketing initiatives
- Support On's strategy to engage competitive track and field youth in North America
- Work closely with the NA Marketing team to implement youth engagement initiatives
- Manage and track the annual budget for athlete partnerships and youth engagement
- Represent On at relevant sporting events, competitions, and industry gatherings
- Stay up-to-date on NIL rules and regulations
- Track and report on key metrics related to athlete partnerships and youth engagement
Your story
- Bachelor's degree in sports management, marketing, or equivalent experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience in the sports industry, with a focus on athlete partnerships or youth engagement
- Established relationships with high school and college coaches in North America
- Strong understanding of the NCAA landscape and NIL regulations
- Passion for competitive running and experience in high school and/or NCAA track and cross country
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel frequently (15-20 times annually)
Meet the team
The Athlete Strategy and Partnerships team manages strategy and partnerships with On’s professional athletes primarily in the sport of run. This team is responsible for the recruitment and management of key athletes. In order for our athletes to train at the highest level and compete at major events while showing our products to their fans (and driving sales through that), we must ensure a timely delivery of our top training, recovery and racing products.
