About the Team
The Stargate organization is responsible for building and scaling the physical infrastructure systems required to support OpenAI’s rapidly growing AI training and inference platforms.
As infrastructure scale accelerates globally, long-range demand planning, supply readiness, and infrastructure forecasting are becoming increasingly critical capabilities across the organization. The team partners across Finance, Infrastructure Strategy, Capacity Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain to ensure infrastructure growth can scale predictably and efficiently.
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager, Demand Planning & S&OP to help build and operationalize Stargate’s long-range infrastructure planning capability.
In this role, you will drive the development of planning systems, operational processes, and organizational mechanisms that consolidate Bottoms Up and Top Down demand signals into actionable multi-year infrastructure demand forecasts. You will partner closely with ERP implementation efforts, planning stakeholders, and infrastructure organizations to establish scalable planning operations across rapidly growing deployment programs.
You will also help develop long-range infrastructure and power forecasting models used to prepare suppliers and manufacturing partners for future capacity requirements.
This is a highly cross-functional role operating across infrastructure strategy, finance, manufacturing, sourcing, and deployment organizations.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation support.
Key Responsibilities
Build and operationalize Stargate’s infrastructure demand planning and S&OP processes.
Develop systems and workflows that consolidate Bottoms Up and Top Down planning inputs into actionable demand forecasts.
Partner with ERP onboarding and systems implementation efforts to establish scalable planning infrastructure.
Translate infrastructure growth plans into multi-year supply, manufacturing, and deployment forecasts.
Develop 3–5 year power and infrastructure demand forecasts to support supplier capacity planning.
Drive alignment across Finance, Infrastructure Strategy, Capacity Planning, Manufacturing Operations, and Strategic Sourcing teams.
Establish operational cadences, governance mechanisms, and reporting structures for planning execution.
Identify risks, forecast gaps, and operational bottlenecks across the planning lifecycle.
Support executive-level planning discussions and long-range infrastructure strategy reviews.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in technical program management, supply planning, S&OP, infrastructure planning, or operations strategy.
Have experience building planning processes or operational systems in high-growth environments.
Are comfortable operating across technical, operational, and financial planning domains.
Have experience with ERP systems, planning tooling, or enterprise operational systems.
Can synthesize ambiguous inputs into structured operational plans.
Have strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
Are highly cross-functional and effective at driving alignment across organizations.
Thrive in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and scale challenges.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle ERP or large-scale ERP implementation programs.
Experience in infrastructure, hardware, manufacturing, or supply chain organizations.
Familiarity with long-range capacity planning, power forecasting, or infrastructure deployment planning.
Experience supporting hyperscale infrastructure or AI infrastructure environments.
Experience building operational planning frameworks from the ground up.
