Responsible to organize and lead the quality program for Essentia Health. Also oversees the quality infrastructure to support the quality agenda for the system. The goal of this role is to facilitate change promoting quality and patient safety to support our organization’s mission. This leadership role will direct others towards process improvements that support the reduction of patient harm and improve quality of care. This includes conducting patient safety assessments, accountability for ensuring execution of changes in the root cause analysis process, creating safety coach programming with audit for exceptional practice, developing and delivering education on science of quality and safety, working collaboratively with executive leaders, managers and staff to provide quality, safe, patient and family-centered care, and communicating information regarding effective quality and patient safety strategies to others within the organization.Work Experience:
One year experience in the safety movement/science of safety.
Five years experience in Risk Management or Quality Management.
Three years’ experience in a leadership position within a complex organization.
Experience with process improvement methodology.
Education Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a healthcare related field is preferred, but a Bachelor’s degree in a health science with appropriate knowledge, experience and skills would be considered.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification
