The Perfusionist Supervisor provides oversight of the daily operations of the unit/department. This includes the implementation of programs, staffing and personnel issues, fiscal monitoring, and provides input to the Director regarding policies, procedures, systems and operating budgets. This position also prepares the patient care environment and circulatory assistance/monitoring equipment, performs duties to protocol for safe intraoperative use of all circulatory assist and monitoring equipment, assists with the care of ICU patients requiring circulatory assist equipment, and maintains equipment maintenance inventory. The Perfusionist Supervisor is also responsible for human resource management of direct reports including performance reviews, competency assessment and time attendance reviews. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, coworkers and others.Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health science related field
Graduate of an accredited cardiopulmonary perfusion training program
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Board Certified according to the American Board of Perfusion Guidelines
