Program Manager - Internal Experience Platform
Pleo
Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, we're changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike—with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’.
The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years.
Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.
About the role
We're looking for a Program Manager to join our Internal Experience Platform (IX) at Pleo.
In this role, you'll help ensure predictable delivery and execution across IX initiatives, working closely with Product and Engineering teams as we scale our internal platforms that power Support, Risk, and Sales.
You’ll be part of a growing platform organisation responsible for the foundations behind Backoffice workflows, permissions, auditability, demo readiness, and internal quality.
If you're excited about bringing structure to complex, cross-team work, enjoy operating at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations, and are passionate about enabling teams to deliver at scale without operational debt this is the opportunity for you.
What you’ll be doing
As a Program Manager - Internal Experience Platform, you will:
- Own end-to-end delivery planning across multiple IX initiatives
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies, milestones, and timelines
- Establish and maintain delivery hygiene (plans, risks, status, unblockers)
- Proactively surface risks, scope creep, and delivery trade-offs
- Support Product and Engineering leads with sequencing and execution insights
- Enable teams to move faster by removing delivery friction and ambiguity
- Act as a trusted execution partner across Product, Engineering, and Operations
To put things into context, we currently have initiatives on our roadmap related to:
- Standardised Backoffice workflows and role-based permissions
- Shared auditability and internal platform foundations
- Demo-ready environments and internal tooling used by Sales and Support
What you bring
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Proven experience in program management, delivery management, or product operations roles
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and Operations
- A structured and pragmatic approach to planning and execution
- Clear, confident communication skills and strong stakeholder management
- Comfort operating in ambiguous and evolving problem spaces
Nice to have:
- Experience working with platform or internal tooling teams
- Exposure to regulated or operationally complex environments
- Background in fintech, SaaS, or B2B product organisations
Why is this role a good fit for you
This role is a good fit for you if:
- You enjoy bringing clarity and structure to complex initiatives
- You like enabling others rather than owning a single product surface
- You’re motivated by scale, leverage, and execution quality
This role is NOT a good fit for you if:
- You’re primarily looking for a people management role
- You want full ownership of product strategy or roadmaps
- You prefer narrowly scoped, single-team delivery work
How you’ll develop in this role
In your first 6 months at Pleo, you’ll:
- Establish clear delivery plans and dependency tracking across IX initiatives
- Improve execution predictability and risk visibility
- Build strong partnerships with Product and Engineering leads
- Grow as a senior execution partner within a platform organisation
We’re committed to helping you develop your career - whether that means leading larger programs, deepening your platform delivery expertise, or expanding into broader operational leadership over time.
Who you’ll be working with and reporting to
You’ll report to our Product Lead for Internal Experience Platform and work closely with:
- Product Managers within Internal Experience
- Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Staff Engineers
- Partner teams across Risk, Support, Identity, and Sales Enablement
Our team is highly collaborative and focused on building shared internal foundations. You’ll also partner with teams across the wider Product and Engineering organisation to ensure successful delivery and adoption
