Senior Accounting Manager:
As the Senior Accounting Manager your primary responsibility will be ensuring monthly financial statements are complete, accurate and in compliance with GAAP. In this role, you will grow and develop our team of talented accountants to support our monthly operational reporting. This position will be critical as we implement additional system enhancements with NetSuite and become a best in class Accounting organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Review month-end accounting activities, including all reconciliations to provide accurate inventory valuation and reporting and appropriate revenue recognition
- Prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliations of accounts
- Oversee the accounting of multiple revenue streams as well as the design, implementation, and execution of scalable and effective processes for a more efficient close and control environment
- Manage inventory accounting team to assist in the 3 way match process, investigate inventory discrepancies, and work with AP and Production on resolution
- Perform monthly purchase price variance and received-not-vouchered reconciliation
- Ad hoc analysis related to inventory and COGS fluctuations
- Prepare monthly actuals vs budget and gross margin analysis
- Manage and develop revenue and inventory accounting staff
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and consultants to support revenue and inventory testing
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years accounting experience within an e-commerce, retail or CPG environment
- Bachelor’s / Four (4) year degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field required
- 2 years of large-scale ERP experience NetSuite experience a plus
- Expert Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc)
- Strong problem solving aptitude. Identify root causes, gather and process relevant information, and make recommendations for solutions
- Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning system and articulate the key findings to management
- Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships cross-functionally to effectively make recommendations and implement process improvements
- Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
