Merchandising Strategy Senior Manager
As the Senior Manager of Merchandising Strategy you will leverage data to build product strategies that contribute to category and channel growth. The role will be critical in both crafting and executing our growth plans for apparel. This is a cross-functional role that will require collaboration with many different teams.
What you’ll do:
- Provide weekly reporting and analysis across multiple dimensions (category, channel, product attributes, etc) and provide recommendations for immediate actions
- Partner in the development, analysis, and revision of category plans for sales, margin realization, inventory and profit
- Regularly reconcile sales and investment plans and ensure we are maximizing sales while minimizing inventory risk
- Provide and monitor category- and SKU-level full price sell through goals by month to ensure we can meet our end of year targets
- Create agile SKU count and depth plans by category and by channel
- Build production plans by category based on lead times and product needs. Build tools & dashboards to communicate the plans cross functionally and to track progress against them
- Manage a robust pricing strategy to ensure we are hitting financial targets while balancing customer perceptions of value
- Review SKU level sales and trends weekly with buyers across all channels
- Revamp our new product performance assessment process and tools in pursuit of a robust carryover business that meets our financial targets
- Ad hoc analysis in response to emerging business trends
What you’ll need:
- At least 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role within buying/planning/merchandising, preferably in the apparel space
- Strong analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative
- Ability to synthesize disparate and complex inputs into clear and concise conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a cross functional and remote-hybrid team environment
- Exceptionally resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized
