Associate Technical Designer (Coordinator/Operations)
Reformation is looking for a full-time, super-efficient, hard-working Associate Technical Designer who will help day to day operations & improve product excellence. You will be working closely with Patternmakers, Tech Designers, Product Development, and Production departments.
Responsibilities: Note: Duties are not limited to the tasks outlined and can change to support evolving business needs.
- Scheduling and Planning:
- Schedule Fit Models for daily fittings
- Communicate with cross functional teams to coordinate daily fit schedules
- Send daily Pre-Fit Context & Recap
- Maintain Fit Models log to crosscheck invoices
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and processes
- Data Management:
- Create spreadsheets, slides, reports etc. for reporting and analyzing various projects
- Support various project management tasks by taking meeting notes and related follow-up tracking as needed to show management visibility
- Administrative:
- Inventory Pulls & returns to the warehouse
- PP sample requests for fittings and/or when required for review
- Patternmaker/Technical Design support:
- Setting up initial tech packs with spec sheet and construction callouts
- Measure and prep garments for fittings
- Analyze garments to determine compliance of spec & construction, bringing discrepancies to Managers attention
- Add photos to Tech Packs and update construction sketches
- Update WIP regularly
- Coordinate High Returns & related fit activities:
- Take notes and photos during HR meetings
- Assist in communication as needed between cross functional teams
- Tracking status of refits and update HR log w/ fit correction details
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Apparel design & manufacturing
- 2-4 years experience in technical design of apparel or relevant training
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy, as well as ability to prioritize and make quick decisions
- Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Extremely honest and trustworthy with highest integrity
- Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, sewing techniques, fabrication, and trim; familiarity with manufacturing
- Experience working with overseas &/or domestic factories
