Import Production Associate
Reformation is seeking an Import Production Associate, to coordinate various aspects of import manufacturing. This position will be responsible for tracking and organizing deliverables needed for production. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and proactive with an interest in sustainability, and will be the lead for team coordination and organization.
The Production Associate’s primary task is to carry out the directions of the Production Manager to support the fulfillment of all orders to meet company top line goals, starting from Pre-Production Handoff through Logistics/Shipping.
What you’ll do:
Sample Management & Fittings
- Track inbound vendor TOP packages for timely processing and distribution.
- Maintain daily updates on the TOP sample tracking document, including courier tracking, ETD, and ETA.
- Pull Fit Released (PP) samples for daily production TOP fittings, and communicate fitting comments or production issues to vendors.
- Maintain the PP/Archive sample closet and manage the shared sample log to ensure accurate sample tracking.
- Coordinate regularly with the Sample Coordinator and E-commerce team to track photoshoot samples and meet photoshoot deadlines.
- Validate and reconcile sample invoices with the Production Manager prior to submitting for processing.
Purchase Order & Material Management
- Manage daily purchase orders: tag vendor/material/PO status in PIM and reserve bulk materials accordingly.
- Conduct weekly checkpoints on material pulls and follow up on pending fabric allocations with the Purchasing Team and vendors.
- Track weekly fabric and trim liabilities consumption and/or accrual from overseas vendors.
Production Oversight & Category Management
- Oversee a designated product category (e.g., TBJ) from development through warehouse delivery with support from the Production Manager.
- Partner with internal supply chain teams to drive timely completion of fit and trim approvals, facilitate TOP sample fittings, and coordinate logistics bookings to meet production deadlines.
- Partner regularly with Product Development (PD) counterparts to address and resolve exceptions in the production cycle.
- Engage in daily communication with cross-functional teams, providing updates on key deliverables and proactively alerting teams to unexpected issues.
- Communicate with overseas vendors to monitor production status, ensure timely sample delivery, and confirm cost sheets are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate WIPs per vendor and escalate issues to the Production Manager to protect key milestone dates.
- Align with the Production Manager to determine appropriate vendor resolutions and maintain progress against production timelines.
- Attend weekly calls with overseas vendors as needed to manage production exceptions.
Logistics & Data Management
- Manage daily inbound logistics coordination between vendors and freight forwarders.
- Maintain accurate PIM/WIP data on shipping statuses, delivery dates, and any other PO updates.
Additional Responsibilities
- Take initiative beyond basic responsibilities and support special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of garment construction, raw materials, and product development.
- Effectively prioritize workload to meet business-critical deadlines.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 2-3 years of apparel production experience, import production preferred
- Ability to work in a team as well as work independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must be proactive and possess the ability to meet multiple tight deadlines
- Must have exceptional organizational skills
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Product Development, and Quality Control
- Proficient in G-Suite & Microsoft Office, including working knowledge of pivot tables and xlookups
Compensation:
At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated hourly range is $25.00 – $28.00 per hour + bonus 1% eligibility, depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.
This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company’s discretion.
