About the Role:

This Business Delivery Manager will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and effective management of the company’s (Remitly Europe Ltd ‘REL’) Outsourcing Framework. The role will be pivotal in acting as a bridge between the internal stakeholders, service providers, project teams and vendors, ensuring that the business requirements are understood, and solutions are delivered on time and within budget to serve REL customers well. The role will ensure that appropriate skills and knowledge are maintained within the regulated firm (REL) to effectively oversee outsourcing arrangements from inception to conclusion. This is especially important where the activities being outsourced are technical and/or complex in nature.

You will:

  • Ensure that all areas as specified in the outsource register are conducted in accordance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards outlined by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) & the European Banking Authority (EBA)

  • Maintain open and transparent communication channels with internal stakeholders, outsourcing partners and vendors. Facilitate collaboration between the company's teams and external vendors to achieve shared goals.

  • Review the outsourcing strategy in place, ensuring it is aligned to REL’s business strategy, business model, risk appetite and risk management framework. The outsourcing strategy should be supported through appropriate policies, procedures and controls.

  • Manage RELs outsourcing arrangements and develop structures and mechanisms to oversee, monitor and assess the appropriateness and performance of the company’s outsourcing framework including outsourcing arrangements and associated risks.

  • Use REL’s risk management process and internal controls to identify, measure, manage, monitor and report the risks associated with the agreed outsourcing arrangements.

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with outsourcing and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure that vendor agreements comply with regulatory, data security, and privacy requirements outlined by the CBI and IDPC (Irish Data Protection Commision)

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of outsourcing partners against agreed-upon SLAs.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to vendors to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.

  • Support Remitly globally in standing up business delivery best practices in other jurisdictions.

  • Refine and maintain a Business Continuity Plan along with ensuring appropriate operational resilience is in place to deliver on all critical services.

  • Maintain first line ownership of the outsourcing register.

  • Ensure the Outsourcing Governance Framework is reviewed and updated as per the stated requirements and any amendments are suitably presented to the Outsourcing Performance Forum for approval.

  • Have a full understanding of the CBI’s Outsourcing requirements and how they apply to a regulated firm. & EBA?

You have:

  • Experience in payment/Fintech an advantage.

  • Proven track record in business delivery and enhancing performance metrics.

  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.

  • A passion to do the right thing for the customer.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams towards project success.

  • Self starter, highly driven, enthusiastic with a can do attitude, approachable and excellent team player.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and obstacles effectively.
