Visual Product Designer

About the Role:
We are building a mighty design team to help us develop delightful, easy, and beautiful customer experiences that speak to immigrants. We're looking for a Visual Product Designer who can help us do exactly that.
You will report to the Sr. Design Manager for customer acquisition and retention. You will collaborate with our senior and principal designers on areas including new customer onboarding, referrals and rewards, and brand new products or features.

Use your skills in typography, composition, and color to improve user experiences
Improve our design work's aesthetic beauty and consistency
Define UI and visual design requirements in partnership with a team
Partner with our customer research team to understand customer needs
Build prototypes to test product and design ideas quickly
Influence and contribute to our design systems at Remitly
Advocate for the customer, the craft, and the team
1+ years experience in visual product design, especially mobile (or equivalent portfolio or certification)
High curiosity, leading you to ask "why" a lot so you deeply understand design
Passion to grow, adapt, expand your skills, and try new things
Skill for picking up technical terms and concepts, like A/B testing
Working familiarity with Figma, or also Sketch, Framer X, etc.
Genuine interest in our Mission and alignment with our cultural values
Consumer product experience
No Fintech experience required. Must be located in Seattle or willing to relocate.

Compensation Details: The starting base salary range for this position is typically $88,850-$101,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
