About the Role:

The Content and Messaging Platforms team works on accelerating growth for Remitly by enabling Marketing and Product teams to build digital customer experiences through a set of scalable platform capabilities that include web and in-product content management, outgoing messaging, and localization.

You'll work with design, product management, marketing, and other engineering teams to solve for low-touch management of content across its lifecycle, evolve our web platform, and enable consistent messaging across different customer experience touch points. You'll report to the Engineering Manager, Content and Messaging Platforms.

This role will be located in Seattle.

You Will:

• Architect, build, and evolve the technology stack that powers our content management system and our web platform to deliver content at scale and improve SEO.

• Own medium to large platform initiatives, and break them down into projects to be worked in parallel.

• Guide and mentor other engineers to deliver well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions.

• Interview, review design, and code, mentor, and ramp other engineers.

• Partner with PMs to break down tasks, provide estimates, and discuss tradeoffs

• Collaborate directly with marketing, product, and other engineering teams within Remitly to develop products and features that help drive content, messaging, localization, and experimentation at scale.

• Define and deploy technical best practices across several teams.

You Have:

• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• 8+ years of experience as a software developer.

• An understanding of software development best practices and software design patterns.

• Expertise in mentoring and coaching other engineers at different levels.

• Expertise defining and implementing medium to large scale technical platform initiatives.

• Expertise working full stack with one or more general-purpose programming languages including JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, and Go.

Compensation Details: The starting base salary range for this position is typically $187,500 - $225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
