About the Role:

Remitly Access is an integrated payment experience that allows Remitly to embed our remittance flows into 1st and 3rd-party apps. This initiative represents an incredible opportunity for the business and our customers, enabling a more seamless money movement experience and opening the door to entirely new markets. This is a new product and a new team, and we need builders to come help us fulfill our vision for Remitly Access.

As a staff engineer on the Remitly Access team, you will lead the development of our B2B2C product, building the integration systems through collaboration with PMs, engineers, and designers across numerous domains and departments. You'll be the first owner of the systems that underpin Remitly Access integrations, and set the technical vision for this embedded Remitly experience. You'll also craft technical requirements for partner domains to enable the necessary platform capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to take advantage of Remitly's evolved stack and platforms to expand our product offering to new customers and markets.

You Will:

  • Lead the Remitly Access technical vision and development

  • Push your partner teams to adjust designs and incorporate more flexibility into their platforms

  • Contribute to initiatives both inside and outside the Remitly Access domain to unblock and de-risk program goals

  • Mentor junior engineers on the Remitly Access team

  • Represent the Remitly Access initiative in technical forums and provide architectural feedback to dependent platform teams

  • Report to the Remitly Access engineering manager

You Have:

  • 10+ years experience in software development

  • Expertise in coaching other engineers at different experience levels

  • An understanding of software development best practices, specifically for full-stack web applications

  • Expertise working full stack with one or more general-purpose programming languages including JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, and Go

Workplace. This position is a Seattle-based hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and collaborate in-person in our downtown office (lunches, snacks, reservable desks, meeting rooms, and more across 3 floors)

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $187,500 - $202,500. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
