As a child, you dreamed of forecasting things like raining meatballs, and cats and dogs. This affinity grew from your (albeit very mature-for-your-age) love of analysis, reporting, and the weather channel. It wasn’t until you held your first calculator that you realized your other true love: math. Eventually, skipping chapters here and there in the fateful moments—“thoughtfully forecasted plans,” you might interject—leading up to this moment, you discovered finance, and never looked back. Serendipitously, we are looking for someone who can relate to the vignette described above, and someone who would be excited at the prospect of forecasting—not raining meatballs, per se—but raining tacos (and the like) for our Siete family. If this sounds like you, and you’ve been monitoring the scene for an opportunity like this, we would love to hear from you!

About you:

  • Where other people can crack an apple in half with their bare hands, your cool party trick is your analytical mindset. (We wouldn’t dream of being any more descriptive about it here and now because that would be considered a party foul, but really. It’s impressive!)
  • You’re as organized as they come because—well, you find it a necessity for your personal productivity and—admittedly—fun, too.
  • Your time management theory is as follows: if it’s not done early, it’s late.
  • “Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills” are the actual notes from your teacher on your first grade report card, believe it or not!
  • You understand that numbers aren’t a piece of cake—er…pi—for everyone, which is where your excellent communication and presentation skills come in handy when communicating financial information effectively to teammates.
  • Nothing upsets you more than a misguided weather forecast (mostly because it’s hard to dress for all four seasons in a day, are we right?); therefore, as a financial forecaster yourself, you pay special attention to detail and accuracy in your work, so that everyone is prepared and it’s clear skies ahead.
  • Like a juggling sailor on a race across the Seven (Siete!) Seas, you’ve got the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Contrary to old fables and tales, you believe that having a curious mindset is not asking for trouble but rather asking for progress (and eventual success!).

What you will do:

  • Provide financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for the business.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and provide insights to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Prepare financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
  • Monitor business performance against key metrics and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with business strategy.
  • Analyze and report on key financial metrics, such as revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and working capital, providing variance analysis and explanations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and processes.

Your experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field in the CPG industry preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion is preferred.
Please fill out our culture questionnaire. There are no wrong answers here -we want to learn more about you!
