You’ve got eagle eyes, laser sharp focus, and a knack for finding needles in the proverbial haystack. In any given situation, you’re the person who’s up-to-date on all things rules, directions, protocols, guidelines, procedures, and standards because you’re by-the-book (and for the record, we think that’s cool!). And when ambiguity comes a callin’ you’re the first one to answer the call by going into research mode because, “the more you know, the more you know!” as you always say. Which is why it makes so much sense that you’ve spent the past few years in the Regulatory and Food Manufacturing industry! You use your regulatory super skills to make sure that products comply with regulations and ingredients meet the highest standards.
If this sounds like you, and the thought of being a part of the regulation process for our delicious Siete products has already got you ~regulating~ your excitement (get it?), we’d love to hear from you!

About you:

  • Your attitude about communication can be summed by this simple song you made up in grade school: “Cross your ‘T’s! Dot your ‘I’s! Clear communication is easy as pie!”
  • You’re the person people call when they need a hand because even if it’s something you’ve got no experience with, they know you’ll figure it out. You use what you have, and you make it work!
  • Solving problems comes naturally to you. You’re able to think on your feet, keep things nice and neat, and you never miss a beat! (No, really! You even caught our attempt to make all of that rhyme. Sweeeet!)
  • Like a highly detailed weather radar that updates minute-by-minute, you never miss a thing! Your attention to detail rivals a microscope or a magnifying glass. You’re that good!
  • You always say that collaboration is the key to success! You value your time to work individually, but you also recognize that a team is always better together—Juntos es Mejor.

What you will do:

  • Manage, approve and maintain raw material documentation for accuracy and relevant regulatory information.
  • Lead certification documentation and submissions for certifications such as NonGMO Project, GFCO, Whole30, Organic, etc.
  • Oversee and organize inbound documentation requests from cross functional teams.
  • Develop and approve ingredient statements and nutritional information for all products to comply with federal, state, customer and company food labeling regulations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including Quality, R&D, Operations, and Brand to gather and verify regulatory requirements and needs.
  • Maintain digital tools, software, and databases for efficient regulatory document management and reporting, building new processes as needed.
  • Assist with training and guidance on documentation requirements to cross functional teams.
  • Support and provide expertise to new product development and innovation activities; manage close communication with team members from Product Development, R&D, Growth, Quality, Procurement, Legal, and Customer Delight.
  • Help maintain the finished goods specification database by creating and updating new specs as assigned.
  • Monitor nutrition, regulatory changes, and enforcement trends for supported markets including dietary habits, upcoming ingredients, dietary trends; evaluating impact and communicating to cross functional teams.

Your experience:

  • 3+ years of regulatory, labeling, or quality role in either a food-manufacturing environment and/or food or beverage consumer packaged goods (CPG) required
  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition (such as biology, chemistry or physics, etc.) or related discipline a plus
  • Comfort with Excel and G Suite is preferred
  • Proficiency in supplier management software such as TraceGains and experience in nutritional software is strongly preferred
  • Experience with shelf-stable and temperature-sensitive products is a plus
