About The Job

US – Remote

DOE $275,000-312,000 OTE

As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will serve as a strategic technical leader, driving complex, high-value engagements with our largest and most innovative customers. You will operate at the intersection of deep technical expertise, executive-level engagement, and field innovation — defining solution strategies that not only win business but also shape our product direction and go-to-market approach.

You will be the trusted advisor for C-level executives, senior architects, and engineering leadership within our customers’ organizations, guiding them through Kubernetes modernization, edge architectures, virtualization transformation, and multi-cloud strategy. You will influence industry conversations, represent Spectro Cloud in strategic partnerships, and mentor our global solution architecture team.

Key Responsibilities

Location: This position is remote in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Leadership – Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Partner teams to create repeatable solution patterns and joint GTM offerings.

• Strategic Engagement Leadership – Own the technical strategy and execution for our most complex and high-value sales opportunities, influencing multi-year modernization roadmaps.

• C-Level Advisory – Serve as a trusted technical and business advisor to senior executives at customer and partner organizations.
  
  
• Architectural Authority – Define and document reference architectures, integration strategies, and migration frameworks for Kubernetes, virtualization, and hybrid/edge environments.
  
  
• Field Innovation – Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to shape platform capabilities based on customer and market insights.
  
  
• Advanced PoV Execution – Lead mission-critical Proof-of-Value (Pov) engagements, applying advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and architectural optimization.
  
  
• Mentorship & Enablement – Coach senior and mid-level Solution Architects, developing technical and consultative skills across the team.
  
  
• Industry Thought Leadership – Represent Spectro Cloud at major industry events, write influential technical blogs, and contribute to standards bodies or open-source communities.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud-native platforms, or virtualizatio
  
• Proven success engaging with Fortune 500 and Public Sector customers on large-scale transformation initiatives.
  
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes architectures (bare metal, cloud-managed, and edge deployments) with Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
  
• Expert-level understanding of Linux, bare-metal provisioning (Canonical MaaS), and CI/CD tooling (Terraform, Git, Helm, YAML).
  
• Proven experience designing and integrating secure multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) with enterprise security controls (SSO, RBAC, compliance frameworks).
  
• Exceptional communication skills — equally comfortable presenting at a whiteboard for engineers or delivering a strategic pitch to executives.
  
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this role, as the position involves collaboration with U.S. Federal Government entities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience driving industry thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, or open-source contributions.
  
• Familiarity with CNCF projects such as Cilium, Nginx, Multus, MetalLB, Forklift, Konveyor.
  
• Experience influencing product strategy and roadmap in a fast-growing technology company.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  
• The ability to translate business goals into technical outcomes and understand the “why” behind projects and ensuring designs directly support organizational objectives.
  
• The ability to present complex technical ideas in a clear, concise way to non-technical executives.
