About this role 

\n

The Product Marketing Manager leads go-to-market efforts for Instructor products and features. Udemy's instructors are creators, educators, and entrepreneurs, motivated to monetize their industry expertise and help learners around the globe build new skills – the right person for the role will be someone who cares deeply about this audience, learns and understands how we deliver value to them, and is a powerhouse when it comes to execution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop messaging and communication strategies that enable the successful adoption of products and features that instructors use to develop content for the Udemy platform.
  • \n
  • Build the go-to-market strategy that drives awareness and adoption of creator-based products and features.
  • \n
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as instructor strategy, support, partnerships, community and the broader marketing org to enable and execute strategy.
  • \n
  • Track competitive updates, identify audience trends, and participate in the product development process to ensure what we’re building delivers true value.
  • \n
  • Lead, influence, and collaborate closely with product, marketing, and go-to-market leaders to execute material product rollouts.
  • \n
  • Partner with the user research team to form a deep intuitive knowledge of our instructors that will effectively inform our communication strategy.
  • \n
  • Gain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, market gaps, and opportunities.
  • \n
  • Advocate for instructors by developing a deep understanding of their motivations and how their needs align with the goals of learners and the business

What you’ll have

    \n
  • 5+ years experience in product marketing at a fast-growing company (Marketplace, Creator, SMB experience a plus)
  • \n
  • Strong track record of delivering against KPIs that range from awareness & perception through to adoption, usage, and loyalty
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with deep strength in storytelling, with an ability to bring together multiple sources
  • \n
  • Wildly cross-functional collaboration style, breaking down barriers, reaching across teams and pushing things to completion
  • \n
  • Technical aptitude with a natural curiosity about how things work
  • \n
  • Comfort investing time in emerging technologies and applying those learnings
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and lead go-to-market plan execution
