Job Description
We're looking for an inspirational leader with a strong creative vision to elevate Vuori’s styling across all brand marketing platforms and channels.
The Style Director will play a critical role in bringing marketing concepts to life through captivating visual storytelling. This person will be a creative visionary with a keen eye for detail, an expert in fashion trends, and have the ability to bring concepts to life through styling and art direction.
The Style Director will collaborate closely with the design and marketing teams, translating concepts and creative direction into inspiring & relevant content that delivers our brand’s look & feel. This role will report to the Creative Director and dotted line to the VP of Design.
This Job will be a combination of working on set, in studio, on location as well as preparing along with creative for shoots in house. Understanding trends, proportions, accessories, styling, and how people dress is key to success of this role.
Qualifications
What you'll get to do:
Photography Styling & Art Direction:
- Lead and evolve Vuori’s styling strategy to keep the brand fresh, relevant, and true to its aesthetic. Focus on attracting new customers while strengthening brand identity.
- Redefine styling across key categories and elevate core products.
- Make styling more relevant across audiences including younger or stylish customer base.
- Stay ahead of trends and ensure they resonate with target audiences.
- Guide styling direction for marketing photography across e-commerce, social, and advertising.
- Own on set styling direction - Oversee styling needs from concept to final execution ensuring all styling elements bring the visual direction to life while driving styling tactics to complete the look. Direct and give styling feedback on set to make sure the looks are executed as intended.
- Make selects and retouching notes, ensuring that images meet quality standards and align with the brand’s visual identity and match the desired styling and creative vision.
- Manage external freelancers for photoshoot styling needs.
Creative Collaboration & Concept Development:
- You’ll work directly with Design, Creative, Brand Marketing and Merchandising to develop a brand right styling direction that will influence brand campaigns, commercial channels, and the development of future product collections to ensure consistent and cohesive styling across all touchpoints.
- Translate the seasonal inspiration to an ownable & relevant seasonal POV that can be executed across all seasonal storytelling and product launches.
- Work closely with the marketing team to drive visual direction that supports broader marketing objectives, including brand consistency, market testing and customer engagement.
- Establish clear visual guidelines and standards to ensure consistent POV around the globe, ensuring alignment across the creative and design teams.
Trend Forecasting & Market Insight:
- Be an expert in industry trends and fashion movements to ensure that the styling and photography align with current market aesthetics that stays true to brand.
- Analyze market trends, research competitors/ inspiration, and identify customer preferences to ensure the company’s creative direction remains relevant and impactful.
Who you are:
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of styling and photography work.
- Proven experience in styling for photography, particularly in marketing and advertising environments.
- Strong understanding of seasonal trends, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in fashion styling, art direction, or a related creative role within the fashion or lifestyle industry.
- Proven track record & experience producing and executing photoshoots for fashion editorials or brand.
- Comes with industry relationships in beauty, photography, etc.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design, photography, and marketing.
- Ability to manage and direct a creative team in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in visual presentation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and mood board creation.

The salary range for this role is $175,000 per year - $210,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
