Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic People & Culture (Human Resources) leader to join our team as a Vice President, People & Culture - Business Partners. This role works across our HQ and retail teams, and will be instrumental in the creation and execution of our P&C strategy, aligning P&C initiatives and Talent Strategies with business objectives. In this role, you will lead a team of talented P&C Business Partners, Employee Relations Business Partners, and Generalists to deliver exceptional P&C partnership and services across the organization. Responsible for designing and activating foundational Org Health practices in service of employee engagement, enhancing organizational performance, and Vuori’s long-term strategy. This role will sit on our People and Culture leadership team, reporting into our Chief People Officer with key relationships across our entire Vuori leadership team.
What you'll get to do:
- Lead and mentor a team of talented P&C Business Partners, Employee Relations Business Partners, and Generalists, providing guidance and support in all aspects of HR management for both our HQ and retail employees. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence.
- Responsible for working with business leaders to create strategic talent plans aligned to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Serve as an HR/Talent thought partner and advisor to leaders and employees throughout the organization with the ability to connect, coach and counsel at all levels of the organization.
- Responsible for creating HR policies, procedures and best practices, and identifying and implementing long range strategic talent management goals.
- Partner across the People & Culture team including the P&C COEs and with leaders throughout the organization to create an inspirational, holistic, and integrated approach to all aspects of the employee experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and integrated alignment and execution of P&C strategies with broader organizational objectives.
- Drive talent management initiatives including performance management and succession planning.
- Drive scalable, innovative and impactful HR initiatives in a forward thinking, fast-paced environment.
- In partnership with Finance, drive the overall headcount management process.
- Leverage org design principles driving effective organizational strategy, process and structure sessions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement organizational development and team effectiveness programs and initiatives.
- In partnership with Legal, drive creation of employee relations tools and processes contributing to a strong culture of being in great relationships.
- Serve as a cultural champion responsible for creating and implementing a vision and strategy across the organization that fosters a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture. Champion initiatives that promote a respectful and supportive work environment for all employees.
- Drive the employee engagement survey process and follow up actions.
- Oversee employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Build P&C metrics and analytics to assess effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay current with HR trends and best practice and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Manage program budgets and annual forecasting.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources leading HR Business Partner Teams within the retail industry.
- Experience creating scalable, innovative, and creative solutions serving the needs of both a corporate HQ setting and a retail store environment.
- Must be an outside the box thinker who has proven success in building programs.
- Excels in project management driving key P&C initiatives across the organization, including Talent Management and Organizational Design.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Strong understanding of org design principles.
- Approachable leader to all levels within an organization.
- Thrives in building out processes, programs and procedures in a creative and brand appropriate way.
- A strong record of accomplishment driving results and excellent leadership skills.
- Holds a passion for staying current in modern HR practices to support employees at scale.
- Advanced knowledge of talent management practices, headcount planning, employment law, etc.
- Exceptional at relationship management, networking, negotiation, and prioritization.
- Exceptional team leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Ability to work at the strategic level to hands on execution.
- Strong cross-functional leadership; able to work with and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Must have a data driven mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree.

The salary range for this role is $275,000 per year - $300,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
