Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Apparel Quality QA Lead in Cambodia. This role will play a key role to oversee all Quality and technical activity in Cambodia for Vuori Production base factories. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of apparel manufacturing processing to apply skills, leadership, coaching and experience to support Vuori’s Global Quality Standards. This role is responsible for both quality assurance and quality control of processes, work in progress (WIP), and final apparel products at Vuori Tier 1 factories to ensure they comply with Vuori’s Apparel Quality standards. In this role you will oversee the factory production processes, ensuring compliance with Vuori quality requirements. Leadership, communication, and attention to detail are must-have skills. You will report directly to the Quality Assurance Director and assist with the work in conjunction with Certified Factory Auditors ( CFA).

What you'll get to do:

  • Conducts Quality improvement activity with factory CFA to ensure production and quality are monitored, while identifying issues at early stages to enable corrections prior to final inspection.
  • Identify and align with Vuori QA leader, factory QA leader, and necessary factory personnel on quality manufacturing checkpoints for all styles.
  • Work with CFA for Final Inspection activities to ensure goods are shipped out with correct workmanship based on Vuori Quality Standard.
  • Drives quality resolution by working together with appropriate Vuori cross-functional and factory teams using root cause analysis. Opens corrective actions using quality PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) iterative model to facilitate root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Manage on-site bulk material / trims quality issue support by identifying defect analysis, decision making and closely working with mill partners for the quality improvement CAP.
  • Work with factory to set up a pre-production meeting schedule to ensure all style details are reviewed prior to bulk.
  • Work with factories to arrange daily TOP & Inline sampling activities and final inspection schedule and assist audit processing – Factory Certified Factory Auditor (“CFA”) team.
  • Proactively identify the process or situation in production that is either causing poor quality output or is at risk of poor performance. Facilitate factory issue prevention through PDCA to drive implementation of poke yoke methods to prevent poor quality output.
  • Supports factory audit team and CFA members in maintaining audit reports; regularly reviews audit reports with Vendor Quality Management to align with performance and set Corrective and Preventative Action plans as needed
  • Utilize CFA as resources in QA duties, workshop auditing, quality initiatives, and Test, evaluate, and provide feedback to QA Director and factory management on CFA’s performance
  • Assist factory lab with required testing expectations, including equipment gap analysis and facilitating discussion to clarify test requirements and/or lab test methods

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in production / QA
  • Must be a certified quality auditor
  • 3+ years of internal auditing experience are desirable.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, measuring, quality control / assurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Fluent in English and local language - ability to communicate clearly with other teams. Fluency in spoken and written Chinese is preferred as well.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Smartsheet
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company. Proactive, assertive, and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.
  • Willing to Travel both Domestically and Internationally.
