Job Description

The Operational Engineer I, Retail Technology, will play a crucial role in enhancing the technological infrastructure of our retail stores. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure in Vuori’s retail stores is maintained and operating within set SLA’s, this will be achieved through routine maintenance, handling escalated tickets, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing new technologies to optimize store operations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal functionality & stability of store Infrastructure Technology.

What you’ll get to do:

• Execute routine and pro-active maintenance on in store technology
• Develop SOPs for help desk to successfully resolve and triage issues at Retail stores
• Handle ticket escalations from Help Desk and write Knowledge Base articles for end user education
• Identify opportunities in processes and workflow to optimize technology in retail stores
• Utilize 3rd party relationships to support retail stores to implement and support new technologies in stores
• Test and evaluate new technologies with a customer-first focus
• Lead small projects and rollouts such as network roll outs and upgrades
• Travel to Retail stores for store setup, testing, and upgrades
• Conduct technical audits on existing locations to ensure stores are fully optimized
• Collaborate cross functionally with our Information Security team to remediate security vulnerabilities
• Partner with other Engineering teams to continuously improve technology in stores.
• Implement monitoring, alerts and metrics to proactively support retail store technology.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in information Technology, Computer Science, or 3+ years of related experience preferred. Strong understanding of retail store operations and technology infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues.
• Experience with Meraki Networking, Shopify PLUS POS, M365 and Intune preferred.
• Familiarity with network rollouts, upgrades, and technology implementations.
• Ability to lead small projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to retail locations as needed.
• Knowledge of information security principles and practices is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $68,200 per year - $84,105 per year.
