We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Dispute Management team which handles all data integrations in Sift's Dispute Management business. This team is responsible for all incoming and outgoing data integrations, and ingesting streams of customer data to be used in the dispute process.

Our R&D team has 100+ engineers, including 40+ in Ukraine.

Our technology stack includes Ruby, Rails, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Docker and AWS.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby with or without Rails

  • A passion for scalable, 24x7 backend web services

  • Love for clean, maintainable code

  • Experience with Postgres, RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Docker and AWS

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability

  • You thrive in ambiguous environments where you get to work directly with stakeholders and make decisions that have a huge impact on the business

Over the next 4 months, you will:

  • Spearhead the development of a new Tool to dramatically accelerate customer onboarding.

  • Automate the configuration process for new customers with existing processors and simple aggregation rules, with the goal of reducing the engineering effort from 10 days to just 1 day.

  • Build a sophisticated validation and setup component within the management tool to simplify the configuration of clients with custom aggregation rules, streamlining a process that currently takes 2-3 weeks.

  • Develop and launch a new, robust Tool to replace one of our current systems, enabling our data analysts to directly and efficiently import report files into the data store.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product manager to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and deliver production-ready solutions that meet the teams' needs.

  • Deliver production-quality features, with the possibility of extending your contract into next year.
